A fireman intercom system is a two-way audio communication device that is important during an emergency.
The Fireman Intercom System ensures that communication between the Master Console (Fire Command Centre) and the distant Handset Stations is reliable. The system comprises a remote handset station and a Master control panel, both of which are typically located in the Fire Control Room.
The intercom handset stations are situated on each level’s stairwell.
When there is an incoming call, a call alert bulb on the Master control panel should flash with an audio indication. The audible signal will be suppressed when you lift the handset. The master control panel also includes a fault indication device that displays the kind of fault.
