SPKA

What is SPKA?

The Sistem Pengawasan Kebakaran Automatik (SPKA) serves as Malaysia’s mandatory 24/7 fire monitoring system. Importantly, Act 341 regulates this system to ensure national safety. By using AI and IoT, the system verifies alarms within 180 seconds to provide a rapid response. Furthermore, the government appointed Crystal Solaris Sdn Bhd as the official provider. Consequently, premises must maintain an active SPKA connection to obtain or renew a Fire Certificate (FC) from BOMBA.

KEY BENEFITS OF SPKA COMPLIANCE

24 HOURS

Get 24/7 building monitoring and real-time visibility with SPKA. Instant mobile alerts ensure round-the-clock property protection.

ACT 341

Ensure full JBPM compliance and national fire safety standards through our professional implementation.

Legal Certification

Streamline Fire Certificate (FC) renewals and maintain operational confidence with our documentation system.

Direct Alert

The system alerts BOMBA instantly when an alarm triggers, significantly reducing response times.

Why Manual Systems Are No Longer Enough

  • Human Dependency: These systems rely on individuals to report fires. As a result, they leave premises vulnerable during off-hours or when unoccupied.
  • Delayed Detection: Moreover, slow manual identification often allows small flames to escalate into catatrophes before help is summoned.
  •  Response Lag: A lack of smart integration causes critical delays. Consequently, this significantly increases the risk of total asset loss.

FAQ

Before our team arrives, please ensure you have the following items available:

  1. Buku Operasi Bomber (Fire Safety Record Book)
  2. Cause & Effect (C&E) Matrix for addressable fire alarm panel systems.
  3. The proposed physical location for your new SPKA unit.
  4. At least two representatives (PIC) from the building.
  5. Contact details for your fire alarm panel supplier or contractor.

Primarily, the Buku Operasi Bomba serves as your building’s official fire safety record document. Specifically, it contains floor plans, fire drill records, maintenance history, and previous BOMBA inspection reports.

A C&E Matrix is a table that defines the relationship between fire alarm inputs and system outputs. In addition, it specifies which alarms or shutdowns trigger during a fire event. Your fire alarm supplier typically provides this document.

To prepare for our installation team, you must ready the following site requirements.

We will issue your contract immediately after the successful completion of the site visit. Once I receive it, you must sign and return the document within 14 days.

Yes. This nationwide rollout requires a completely new SPKA system. Consequently, you cannot utilize any previous installed SPKA hardware for this current implementation

Our technicians typically complete the SPKA unit installation within 1 to 3 hours. However, the exact duration on your specific site conditions and system complexity.

While not mandatory, we highly recommend CCTV integration. Actually, adding cameras can significantly enhance the monitoring and overall functionality of your safety system.

The SPKA unit is continuously monitored online. In the event of any issues, a technical visit will be arranged. Additionally, scheduled maintenance will be conducted once a year, typically during your renewal period.
