Ten families from Jalan Sri Cemerlang stay here on their backyard when their home is burned in a Saturday night fire. The fire occurred on the top floor of the wooden dormitory and involved its ceiling and internal hardware. The incident only involves one floor in the female boarding block and does not involve the victim. A spokesman for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department said Kuala Kangsar Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) received an emergency call at 10.52am before a team rushed to the scene. His principal, Khairul Anwar El Syazalli Musa, said his party was grateful to all who helped in the fire incident, especially teachers and firefighters who acted fast to control the fire from spreading. The Maahad Al Islah Religious School Building at Sungai Lampam, near here is burning this afternoon, the second incident of its kind in a year. Fire and Rescue (BBP) Teluk Intan said firefighters received a call at around 2.30 pm on the fire of the two-storey dormitory building. Two students of Maahad Al-Islah Religious Secondary School here are suffering from breathtaking fire at the school building today. The victim involved 15-year-old female students and is now treated at the Teluk Intan Hospital due to smoke. Maahad Al-Islan has a total of 154 students and 25 teachers. It was the third incident that occurred in the maahad after 2013 and 2017 involving fire store. In the incident at about 11pm on July 2 last year, fires destroyed a store storing equipment such as mattresses, beds, tables and chairs for boarding schools.

A woman died after falling from the 19th floor while trying to escape from the fire at her apartment at Taman Mutiara Mas, Skudai, here today. The victim (Liew) was sleeping alone in his room while his two sister sister was cooking in the kitchen with a two-year-old girl. Iskandar Puteri District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Noor Hashim Mohamad said he received calls from the public about the incident around 2.10pm. According to him, the police were informed by the complainant that a victim had fallen from the building. Fires are believed to have stemmed from the kitchen and the two twin brothers with the kids went out to take fire extinguishers outdoors, however, the fire spread quickly. Noor Hashim said Liew was believed to be trying to escape by climbing a balcony after awake and clinging to the pvc pipeline to cross the adjacent wall of the house, but was suspected of slipping and falling from the 19th to the first floor. The burning effect is seen as 60 percent and is believed to be the cause of fire from the stove.

The victim identified as Syaifuddin Loh Abdullah, 64 years old was found in his bedroom, after the firefighter and rescue team had finished performing the blackout work at the house. Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department Head 1, Kurung Suwen said when the victim was reported alone in the house as his daughter went to work. According to him, he received an emergency call at around 6.30 pm and two machines from Petra Jaya Fire and Rescue Station and Padungan were stationed at the scene. They found 100 percent of victims’ bodies and fires were believed to have occurred from the victim’s room. Kurung also advised any homeowners with disabilities to not allow them to stay alone at home.

A total of 17 motorcycles were destroyed in a fire at a motorbike workshop on the Tasik Rusa, Saturday. A Penang Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said he received an emergency call at 12.37pm yesterday, before the machinery from the Balik Pulau Fire and Rescue Station was rushed to the scene. On arrival, the fire was raging and some of the shoplots were destroyed. BOMBA men took about 15 minutes to control the fire from raging before the fire was successfully extinguished at 1.15pm. “According to the 49-year-old, he tried to quench the fire but did not succeed and the fire spread quickly, but the victim also did not even get the motorcycle of his client who was being repaired at the workshop,” he said. Information obtained from firefighters finds that cases classified as short-circuit and no crime elements are detected.

Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd’s chief executive officer, Nazri Hassan, 47, was killed in a fire at his home at Mutiara Homes, at 12.20pm. Selangor Fire Operation Assistant Director Mohd Rizal Buang said his department received an emergency call at 12.30pm to inform the incident of the fire at a double storey semi-detached house at Mutiara Homes. The fire was successfully controlled one minute later and in the room, the firefighter found a man unconscious. Mohd Rizal said the victim was then taken out of the room and confirmed dead. It was learned that during the incident, Mohd Rizal was alone in the upper room, while his wife and son were in the living room on the ground floor. A handset placed on either bed or bedside that exploded while charging, may be the cause of a bedroom fire that caused the death of Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer, Nazrin Hassan. The victim was believed to have died from a dehydration and burned 30 percent on the body part of the fire.

15. July 6, Fires in KBC are expected to go out within 48 hours.

Chief executive officer Sanjay Groover said the accident that occurred at 6pm had resulted in a fire on a crude storage tank at the KBC refinery before it began to spread to the adjacent tank.
